Olana creates timeless, vintage-inspired garments designed and handmade in the heart of England.

What began as a treasured client relationship soon turned into a friendship and so our desire to collaborate blossomed. It was an effortless evolution of creative ideas ever since a mimosa-fuelled brunch in London two summers ago. The launch of our first ever book based on our life in the Mediterranean felt fitting to have these pieces be a part of.

Our collaboration with Olana is composed of timeless, monochrome pieces that are effortlessly styled from day to night and easily dressed up or down. Inspired by the casual elegance of life in the Mediterranean. We focused on creating romantic silhouettes in styles we always seek to find ourselves. Pieces we would wear to twirl down cobbled lantern-lit paths to dinner, sip on rouge by candlelight and loosen our waist belts to accommodate the extra forkful of arrabiata.

Designed in Barcelona, and lovingly brought to life by Olana’s expert dressmakers in the heart of England, this collection is a celebration of our most cherished Mediterranean moments in fabric-form. Steeped in romance, beauty and nostalgia.

The capsule collection combines three firmly feminine and timeless designs in premium fabrics; the jumpsuit, the mini and the midi. The natural linens are sourced from some of Europe’s finest textile mills, providing strong, breathable and renewable fabrics – a crucial part in our quest for sustainability.

Jodie’s natural affinity for nostalgic designs and years of experience in the fashion industry, combined with our love for design there was unwavering certainty that our designs would be constructed in the most beautifully considered way.

The process is lengthy and intentionally so. A piece designed to transcend the seasons requires the same treatment during its creation. Once the designs were realised, Jodie poured devotion into each and every stitching decision to ensure that the fit would translate to all body shapes and sizes.

Alterations took place between our bases, assembled by a combination of hand and traditional sewing machine, under the experienced eye of seamstresses. Our approach was cyclic; sketch, re-sketch, interpret, create, de-construct, re-build. A cycle so disciplined in its perfection. To hang correctly and to remain faithful to the femininity of the med, it had to fit and fall just so.

All designs feature an adjustable waist tie set in the centre for a cinched look, which naturally produces a silhouette to any frame. Combinations of square and scooped necklines, with delicate straps are what accentuates the free flowing movement in the base of the pieces, showing that comfort can also achieve a height of elegance.
